It’s as if plasma welding has fastened together the seemingly impossible – the ancient Russian phrase and modern jazz drive. This is a review of Tina Kuznetsova’s project Zventa Sventana. The team reinterprets folklore, weaving folk songs with dance electronica and indie-pop. Headliner of the Wild Mint and Usadba Jazz festivals. Afisha, Esquire, Meduza, Colta, Wonderzine, The Flow, SRSLY, RBK Style have all written about Tina’s project. The band won the New York Onrios Film Awards from IMDB, Project of the Year at the Russian World Music Awards and was nominated for the Berlin Music Video Awards, and received the Musician of the Year award from MTV Russia. Tina Kuznetsova is a speaker of the international conference Jazz Day supported by UNESCO.
